犹大王约西亚的儿子约雅敬第四年，尼利亚的儿子巴录将先知耶利米口中所说的话写在书上。耶利米说：
Palabra que habló el profeta Jeremías a Baruc hijo de Nerías, cuando escribía en el libro estas palabras de boca de Jeremías, en el año cuarto de Joacim hijo de Josías rey de Judá, diciendo:
The word that Jeremiah the prophet spake unto Baruch the son of Neriah, when he had written these words in a book at the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, saying,

巴录啊，耶和华─以色列的神说：
Así ha dicho Jehová Dios de Israel a ti, oh Baruc:
Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, unto thee, O Baruch;

巴录（原文是你）曾说：哀哉！耶和华将忧愁加在我的痛苦上，我因唉哼而困乏，不得安歇。
Tú dijiste: ¡Ay de mí ahora! porque ha añadido Jehová tristeza a mi dolor; fatigado estoy de gemir, y no he hallado descanso.
Thou didst say, Woe is me now! for the LORD hath added grief to my sorrow; I fainted in my sighing, and I find no rest.

你要这样告诉他，耶和华如此说：我所建立的，我必拆毁；我所栽植的，我必拔出；在全地我都如此行。
Así le dirás: Ha dicho Jehová: He aquí que yo destruyo a los que edifiqué, y arranco a los que planté, y a toda esta tierra.
Thus shalt thou say unto him, The LORD saith thus; Behold, {that} which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land.

你为自己图谋大事么？不要图谋！我必使灾祸临到凡有血气的。但你无论往哪里去，我必使你以自己的命为掠物。这是耶和华说的。
¿Y tú buscas para ti grandezas? No las busques; porque he aquí que yo traigo mal sobre toda carne, ha dicho Jehová; pero a ti te daré tu vida por botín en todos los lugares adonde fueres.
And seekest thou great things for thyself? seek {them} not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the LORD: but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places whither thou goest.
