¿Pondrás tú soga en sus narices,Y horadarás con garfio su quijada?
Canst thou put an hook into his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn?

他岂向你连连恳求，说柔和的话么？
¿Multiplicará él ruegos para contigo?¿Te hablará él lisonjas?
Will he make many supplications unto thee? will he speak soft {words} unto thee?

岂肯与你立约，使你拿他永远作奴仆么？
¿Hará pacto contigoPara que lo tomes por siervo perpetuo?
Will he make a covenant with thee? wilt thou take him for a servant for ever?

你岂可拿他当雀鸟玩耍么？岂可为你的幼女将他拴住么？
¿Jugarás con él como con pájaro,O lo atarás para tus niñas?
Wilt thou play with him as {with} a bird? or wilt thou bind him for thy maidens?

搭伙的渔夫岂可拿他当货物么？能把他分给商人么？
¿Harán de él banquete los compañeros?¿Lo repartirán entre los mercaderes?
Shall the companions make a banquet of him? shall they part him among the merchants?

你能用倒钩枪扎满他的皮，能用鱼叉叉满他的头么？
¿Cortarás tú con cuchillo su piel,O con arpón de pescadores su cabeza?
Canst thou fill his skin with barbed irons? or his head with fish spears?

你按手在他身上，想与他争战，就不再这样行罢！
Pon tu mano sobre él;Te acordarás de la batalla, y nunca más volverás.
Lay thine hand upon him, remember the battle, do no more.

人指望捉拿他是徒然的；一见他，岂不丧胆么？
He aquí que la esperanza acerca de él será burlada,Porque aun a su sola vista se desmayarán.
Behold, the hope of him is in vain: shall not {one} be cast down even at the sight of him?

没有那么凶猛的人敢惹他。这样，谁能在我面前站立得住呢？
Nadie hay tan osado que lo despierte;¿Quién, pues, podrá estar delante de mí?
None {is so} fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me?

谁先给我甚么，使我偿还呢？天下万物都是我的。
¿Quién me ha dado a mí primero, para que yo restituya?Todo lo que hay debajo del cielo es mío.
Who hath prevented me, that I should repay {him? whatsoever is} under the whole heaven is mine.

论到鳄鱼的肢体和其大力，并美好的骨骼，我不能缄默不言。
No guardaré silencio sobre sus miembros,Ni sobre sus fuerzas y la gracia de su disposición.
I will not conceal his parts, nor his power, nor his comely proportion.

谁能剥他的外衣？谁能进他上下牙骨之间呢？
¿Quién descubrirá la delantera de su vestidura?¿Quién se acercará a él con su freno doble?
Who can discover the face of his garment? {or} who can come {to him} with his double bridle? {with: or, within}

谁能开他的腮颊？他牙齿四围是可畏的。
¿Quién abrirá las puertas de su rostro?Las hileras de sus dientes espantan.
Who can open the doors of his face? his teeth {are} terrible round about.

他以坚固的鳞甲为可夸，紧紧合闭，封得严密。
La gloria de su vestido son escudos fuertes,Cerrados entre sí estrechamente.
{His} scales {are his} pride, shut up together {as with} a close seal. {scales: Heb. strong pieces of shields}

这鳞甲一一相连，甚至气不得透入其间，
El uno se junta con el otro,Que viento no entra entre ellos.
One is so near to another, that no air can come between them.

都是互相联络、胶结，不能分离。
Pegado está el uno con el otro;Están trabados entre sí, que no se pueden apartar.
They are joined one to another, they stick together, that they cannot be sundered.

他打喷嚏就发出光来；他眼睛好像早晨的光线（原文是眼皮）。
Con sus estornudos enciende lumbre,Y sus ojos son como los párpados del alba.
By his neesings a light doth shine, and his eyes {are} like the eyelids of the morning.

从他口中发出烧著的火把，与飞迸的火星；
De su boca salen hachones de fuego;Centellas de fuego proceden.
Out of his mouth go burning lamps, {and} sparks of fire leap out.

从他鼻孔冒出烟来，如烧开的锅和点著的芦苇。
De sus narices sale humo,Como de una olla o caldero que hierve.
Out of his nostrils goeth smoke, as {out} of a seething pot or caldron.

他的气点著煤炭，有火燄从他口中发出。
Su aliento enciende los carbones,Y de su boca sale llama.
His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth.
22
他颈项中存著劲力；在他面前的都恐吓蹦跳。
En su cerviz está la fuerza,Y delante de él se esparce el desaliento.
In his neck remaineth strength, and sorrow is turned into joy before him. {is turned into joy: Heb. rejoiceth}

他的肉块互相联络，紧贴其身，不能摇动。
Las partes más flojas de su carne están endurecidas;Están en él firmes, y no se mueven.
The flakes of his flesh are joined together: they are firm in themselves; they cannot be moved. {flakes: Heb. fallings}

他的心结实如石头，如下磨石那样结实。
Su corazón es firme como una piedra,Y fuerte como la muela de abajo.
His heart is as firm as a stone; yea, as hard as a piece of the nether {millstone}.

他一起来，勇士都惊恐，心里慌乱，便都昏迷。
De su grandeza tienen temor los fuertes,Y a causa de su desfallecimiento hacen por purificarse.
When he raiseth up himself, the mighty are afraid: by reason of breakings they purify themselves.

人若用刀，用枪，用标枪，用尖枪扎他，都是无用。
Cuando alguno lo alcanzare,Ni espada, ni lanza, ni dardo, ni coselete durará.
The sword of him that layeth at him cannot hold: the spear, the dart, nor the habergeon. {habergeon: or, breastplate}

他以铁为干草，以铜为烂木。
Estima como paja el hierro,Y el bronce como leño podrido.
He esteemeth iron as straw, {and} brass as rotten wood.

箭不能恐吓他使他逃避；弹石在他看为碎秸。
Saeta no le hace huir;Las piedras de honda le son como paja.
The arrow cannot make him flee: slingstones are turned with him into stubble.

棍棒算为禾秸；他嗤笑短枪飕的响声。
Tiene toda arma por hojarasca,Y del blandir de la jabalina se burla.
Darts are counted as stubble: he laugheth at the shaking of a spear.

他肚腹下如尖瓦片；他如钉耙经过淤泥。
Por debajo tiene agudas conchas;Imprime su agudez en el suelo.
Sharp stones {are} under him: he spreadeth sharp pointed things upon the mire. {Sharp stones: Heb. Sharp pieces of potsherd}

他使深渊开滚如锅，使洋海如锅中的膏油。
Hace hervir como una olla el mar profundo,Y lo vuelve como una olla de ungüento.
He maketh the deep to boil like a pot: he maketh the sea like a pot of ointment.

他行的路随后发光，令人想深渊如同白发。
En pos de sí hace resplandecer la senda,Que parece que el abismo es cano.
He maketh a path to shine after him; {one} would think the deep {to be} hoary.

在地上没有像他造的那样，无所惧怕。
No hay sobre la tierra quien se le parezca;Animal hecho exento de temor.
Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear. {is made without fear: or, behave themselves without fear}

凡高大的，他无不藐视；他在骄傲的水族上作王。
Menosprecia toda cosa alta;Es rey sobre todos los soberbios.
He beholdeth all high {things}: he {is} a king over all the children of pride.
