人为妇人所生，日子短少，多有患难；
El hombre nacido de mujer,Corto de días, y hastiado de sinsabores,
Man {that is} born of a woman {is} of few days, and full of trouble. {few...: Heb. short of days}

出来如花，又被割下，飞去如影，不能存留。
Sale como una flor y es cortado,Y huye como la sombra y no permanece.
He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.

这样的人你岂睁眼看他么？又叫我来受审么？
¿Sobre éste abres tus ojos,Y me traes a juicio contigo?
And dost thou open thine eyes upon such an one, and bringest me into judgment with thee?

谁能使洁净之物出于污秽之中呢？无论谁也不能！
¿Quién hará limpio a lo inmundo?Nadie.
Who can bring a clean {thing} out of an unclean? not one. {can...: Heb. will give}

人的日子既然限定，他的月数在你那里，你也派定他的界限，使他不能越过，
Ciertamente sus días están determinados,Y el número de sus meses está cerca de ti;Le pusiste límites, de los cuales no pasará.
Seeing his days {are} determined, the number of his months {are} with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;

便求你转眼不看他，使他得歇息，直等他像雇工人完毕他的日子。
Si tú lo abandonares, él dejará de ser;Entre tanto deseará, como el jornalero, su día.
Turn from him, that he may rest, till he shall accomplish, as an hireling, his day. {rest: Heb. cease}
7
树若被砍下，还可指望发芽，嫩枝生长不息；
Porque si el árbol fuere cortado, aún queda de él esperanza;Retoñará aún, y sus renuevos no faltarán.
For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.

其根虽然衰老在地里，干也死在土中，
Si se envejeciere en la tierra su raíz,Y su tronco fuere muerto en el polvo,
Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground;
9
及至得了水气，还要发芽，又长枝条，像新栽的树一样。
Al percibir el agua reverdecerá,Y hará copa como planta nueva.
{Yet} through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.

但人死亡而消灭；他气绝，竟在何处呢？
Mas el hombre morirá, y será cortado;Perecerá el hombre, ¿y dónde estará él?
But man dieth, and wasteth away: yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where {is} he? {wasteth...: Heb. is weakened, or, cut off}

海中的水绝尽，江河消散干涸。
Como las aguas se van del mar,Y el río se agota y se seca,
{As} the waters fail from the sea, and the flood decayeth and drieth up:
12
人也是如此，躺下不再起来，等到天没有了，仍不得复醒，也不得从睡中唤醒。
Así el hombre yace y no vuelve a levantarse;Hasta que no haya cielo, no despertarán,Ni se levantarán de su sueño.
So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens {be} no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.

惟愿你把我藏在阴间，存于隐密处，等你的忿怒过去；愿你为我定了日期，记念我。
¡Oh, quién me diera que me escondieses en el Seol,Que me encubrieses hasta apaciguarse tu ira,Que me pusieses plazo, y de mí te acordaras!
O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me!

人若死了岂能再活呢？我只要在我一切争战的日子，等我被释放（或译：改变）的时候来到。
Si el hombre muriere, ¿volverá a vivir?Todos los días de mi edad esperaré,Hasta que venga mi liberación.
If a man die, shall he live {again}? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.

你呼叫，我便回答；你手所做的，你必羡慕。
Entonces llamarás, y yo te responderé;Tendrás afecto a la hechura de tus manos.
Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee: thou wilt have a desire to the work of thine hands.

但如今你数点我的脚步，岂不窥察我的罪过么？
Pero ahora me cuentas los pasos,Y no das tregua a mi pecado;
For now thou numberest my steps: dost thou not watch over my sin?
17
我的过犯被你封在囊中，也缝严了我的罪孽。
Tienes sellada en saco mi prevaricación,Y tienes cosida mi iniquidad.
My transgression {is} sealed up in a bag, and thou sewest up mine iniquity.
18
山崩变为无有；磐石挪开原处。
Ciertamente el monte que cae se deshace,Y las peñas son removidas de su lugar;
And surely the mountain falling cometh to nought, and the rock is removed out of his place. {cometh...: Heb. fadeth}
19
水流消磨石头，所流溢的洗去地上的尘土；你也照样灭绝人的指望。
Las piedras se desgastan con el agua impetuosa, que se lleva el polvo de la tierra;De igual manera haces tú perecer la esperanza del hombre.
The waters wear the stones: thou washest away the things which grow {out} of the dust of the earth; and thou destroyest the hope of man. {washest...: Heb. overflowest}

你攻击人常常得胜，使他去世；你改变他的容貌，叫他往而不回。
Para siempre serás más fuerte que él, y él se va;Demudarás su rostro, y le despedirás.
Thou prevailest for ever against him, and he passeth: thou changest his countenance, and sendest him away.
21
他儿子得尊荣，他也不知道，降为卑，他也不觉得。
Sus hijos tendrán honores, pero él no lo sabrá;O serán humillados, y no entenderá de ello.
His sons come to honour, and he knoweth {it} not; and they are brought low, but he perceiveth {it} not of them.
22
但知身上疼痛，心中悲哀。
Mas su carne sobre él se dolerá,Y se entristecerá en él su alma.
But his flesh upon him shall have pain, and his soul within him shall mourn.
