Respondió entonces Job, y dijo:
But Job answered and said,

惟愿我的烦恼称一称，我一切的灾害放在天平里；
¡Oh, que pesasen justamente mi queja y mi tormento,Y se alzasen igualmente en balanza!
Oh that my grief were throughly weighed, and my calamity laid in the balances together! {laid: Heb. lifted up}

现今都比海沙更重，所以我的言语急躁。
Porque pesarían ahora más que la arena del mar;Por eso mis palabras han sido precipitadas.
For now it would be heavier than the sand of the sea: therefore my words are swallowed up. {my words...: that is, I want words to express my grief}

因全能者的箭射入我身；其毒，我的灵喝尽了；神的惊吓摆阵攻击我。
Porque las saetas del Todopoderoso están en mí,Cuyo veneno bebe mi espíritu;Y terrores de Dios me combaten.
For the arrows of the Almighty {are} within me, the poison whereof drinketh up my spirit: the terrors of God do set themselves in array against me.

野驴有草岂能叫唤？牛有料岂能吼叫？
¿Acaso gime el asno montés junto a la hierba?¿Muge el buey junto a su pasto?
Doth the wild ass bray when he hath grass? or loweth the ox over his fodder? {when he...: Heb. at grass?}

物淡而无盐岂可吃么？蛋青有甚么滋味呢？
¿Se comerá lo desabrido sin sal?¿Habrá gusto en la clara del huevo?
Can that which is unsavoury be eaten without salt? or is there {any} taste in the white of an egg?

看为可厌的食物，我心不肯挨近。
Las cosas que mi alma no quería tocar,Son ahora mi alimento.
The things {that} my soul refused to touch {are} as my sorrowful meat.

惟愿我得著所求的，愿神赐我所切望的!
¡Quién me diera que viniese mi petición,Y que me otorgase Dios lo que anhelo,
Oh that I might have my request; and that God would grant {me} the thing that I long for! {the thing...: Heb. my expectation}
9
就是愿神把我压碎，伸手将我剪除。
Y que agradara a Dios quebrantarme;Que soltara su mano, y acabara conmigo!
Even that it would please God to destroy me; that he would let loose his hand, and cut me off!
10
我因没有违弃那圣者的言语，就仍以此为安慰，在不止息的痛苦中还可踊跃。
Sería aún mi consuelo,Si me asaltase con dolor sin dar más tregua,Que yo no he escondido las palabras del Santo.
Then should I yet have comfort; yea, I would harden myself in sorrow: let him not spare; for I have not concealed the words of the Holy One.

我有甚么气力使我等候？我有甚么结局使我忍耐？
¿Cuál es mi fuerza para esperar aún?¿Y cuál mi fin para que tenga aún paciencia?
What {is} my strength, that I should hope? and what {is} mine end, that I should prolong my life?

我的气力岂是石头的气力？我的肉身岂是铜的呢？
¿Es mi fuerza la de las piedras,O es mi carne de bronce?
{Is} my strength the strength of stones? or {is} my flesh of brass? {of brass: Heb. brasen?}

在我岂不是毫无帮助么？智慧岂不是从我心中赶出净尽么？
¿No es así que ni aun a mí mismo me puedo valer,Y que todo auxilio me ha faltado?
{Is} not my help in me? and is wisdom driven quite from me?

那将要灰心、离弃全能者、不敬畏神的人，他的朋友当以慈爱待他。
El atribulado es consolado por su compañero;Aun aquel que abandona el temor del Omnipotente.
To him that is afflicted pity {should be shewed} from his friend; but he forsaketh the fear of the Almighty. {is afflicted: Heb. melteth}

我的弟兄诡诈，好像溪水，又像溪水流干的河道。
Pero mis hermanos me traicionaron como un torrente;Pasan como corrientes impetuosas
My brethren have dealt deceitfully as a brook, {and} as the stream of brooks they pass away;

这河因结冰发黑，有雪藏在其中；
Que están escondidas por la helada,Y encubiertas por la nieve;
Which are blackish by reason of the ice, {and} wherein the snow is hid:
17
天气渐暖就随时消化，日头炎热便从原处干涸。
Que al tiempo del calor son deshechas,Y al calentarse, desaparecen de su lugar;
What time they wax warm, they vanish: when it is hot, they are consumed out of their place. {vanish: Heb. are cut off} {when...: Heb. in the heat thereof} {consumed: Heb. extinguished}

结伴的客旅离弃大道，顺河偏行，到荒野之地死亡。
Se apartan de la senda de su rumbo,Van menguando, y se pierden.
The paths of their way are turned aside; they go to nothing, and perish.
19
提玛结伴的客旅瞻望；示巴同伙的人等候。
Miraron los caminantes de Temán,Los caminantes de Sabá esperaron en ellas;
The troops of Tema looked, the companies of Sheba waited for them.
20
他们因失了盼望就抱愧，来到那里便蒙羞。
Pero fueron avergonzados por su esperanza;Porque vinieron hasta ellas, y se hallaron confusos.
They were confounded because they had hoped; they came thither, and were ashamed.
21
现在你们正是这样，看见惊吓的事便惧怕。
Ahora ciertamente como ellas sois vosotros;Pues habéis visto el tormento, y teméis.
For now ye are nothing; ye see {my} casting down, and are afraid. {ye are...: or, ye are like to them: Heb. to it} {nothing: Heb. not}

我岂说：请你们供给我，从你们的财物中送礼物给我？
¿Os he dicho yo: Traedme,Y pagad por mí de vuestra hacienda;
Did I say, Bring unto me? or, Give a reward for me of your substance?

岂说：拯救我脱离敌人的手么？救赎我脱离强暴人的手么？
Libradme de la mano del opresor,Y redimidme del poder de los violentos?
Or, Deliver me from the enemy's hand? or, Redeem me from the hand of the mighty?
24
请你们教导我，我便不作声；使我明白在何事上有错。
Enseñadme, y yo callaré;Hacedme entender en qué he errado.
Teach me, and I will hold my tongue: and cause me to understand wherein I have erred.
25
正直的言语力量何其大！但你们责备是责备甚么呢？
¡Cuán eficaces son las palabras rectas!Pero ¿qué reprende la censura vuestra?
How forcible are right words! but what doth your arguing reprove?

绝望人的讲论既然如风，你们还想要驳正言语么？
¿Pensáis censurar palabras,Y los discursos de un desesperado, que son como el viento?
Do ye imagine to reprove words, and the speeches of one that is desperate, {which are} as wind?
27
你们想为孤儿拈阄，以朋友当货物。
También os arrojáis sobre el huérfano,Y caváis un hoyo para vuestro amigo.
Yea, ye overwhelm the fatherless, and ye dig {a pit} for your friend. {ye overwhelm: Heb. ye cause to fall upon}
28
现在请你们看看我，我决不当面说谎。
Ahora, pues, si queréis, miradme,Y ved si digo mentira delante de vosotros.
Now therefore be content, look upon me; for {it is} evident unto you if I lie. {evident...: Heb. before your face}
29
请你们转意，不要不公；请再转意，我的事有理。
Volved ahora, y no haya iniquidad;Volved aún a considerar mi justicia en esto.
Return, I pray you, let it not be iniquity; yea, return again, my righteousness {is} in it. {in it: that is, in this matter}

我的舌上岂有不义么？我的口里岂不辨奸恶么？
¿Hay iniquidad en mi lengua?¿Acaso no puede mi paladar discernir las cosas inicuas?
Is there iniquity in my tongue? cannot my taste discern perverse things? {my taste: Heb. my palate}
