El hijo sabio recibe el consejo del padre;Mas el burlador no escucha las reprensiones.
A wise son {heareth} his father's instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke.

人因口所结的果子，必享美福；奸诈人必遭强暴。
Del fruto de su boca el hombre comerá el bien;Mas el alma de los prevaricadores hallará el mal.
A man shall eat good by the fruit of {his} mouth: but the soul of the transgressors {shall eat} violence.

谨守口的，得保生命；大张嘴的，必致败亡。
El que guarda su boca guarda su alma;Mas el que mucho abre sus labios tendrá calamidad.
He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: {but} he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.

懒惰人羡慕，却无所得；殷勤人必得丰裕。
El alma del perezoso desea, y nada alcanza;Mas el alma de los diligentes será prosperada.
The soul of the sluggard desireth, and {hath} nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.

义人恨恶谎言；恶人有臭名，且致惭愧。
El justo aborrece la palabra de mentira;Mas el impío se hace odioso e infame.
A righteous {man} hateth lying: but a wicked {man} is loathsome, and cometh to shame.

行为正直的，有公义保守；犯罪的，被邪恶倾覆。
La justicia guarda al de perfecto camino;Mas la impiedad trastornará al pecador.
Righteousness keepeth {him that is} upright in the way: but wickedness overthroweth the sinner. {the sinner: Heb. sin}

假作富足的，却一无所有；装作穷乏的，却广有财物。
Hay quienes pretenden ser ricos, y no tienen nada;Y hay quienes pretenden ser pobres, y tienen muchas riquezas.
There is that maketh himself rich, yet {hath} nothing: {there is} that maketh himself poor, yet {hath} great riches.

人的资财是他生命的赎价；穷乏人却听不见威吓的话。
El rescate de la vida del hombre está en sus riquezas;Pero el pobre no oye censuras.
The ransom of a man's life {are} his riches: but the poor heareth not rebuke.

义人的光明亮（原文是欢喜）；恶人的灯要熄灭.。
La luz de los justos se alegrará;Mas se apagará la lámpara de los impíos.
The light of the righteous rejoiceth: but the lamp of the wicked shall be put out. {lamp: or, candle}

骄傲只启争竞；听劝言的，却有智慧。
Ciertamente la soberbia concebirá contienda;Mas con los avisados está la sabiduría.
Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised {is} wisdom.

不劳而得之财必然消耗；勤劳积蓄的，必见加增。
Las riquezas de vanidad disminuirán;Pero el que recoge con mano laboriosa las aumenta.
Wealth {gotten} by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase. {by labour: Heb. with the hand}

所盼望的迟延未得，令人心忧；所愿意的临到，却是生命树。
La esperanza que se demora es tormento del corazón;Pero árbol de vida es el deseo cumplido.
Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but {when} the desire cometh, {it is} a tree of life.

藐视训言的，自取灭亡；敬畏诫命的，必得善报。
El que menosprecia el precepto perecerá por ello;Mas el que teme el mandamiento será recompensado.
Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded. {shall be rewarded: or, shall be in peace}

智慧人的法则（或译：指教）是生命的泉源，可以使人离开死亡的网罗。
La ley del sabio es manantial de vidaPara apartarse de los lazos de la muerte.
The law of the wise {is} a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

美好的聪明使人蒙恩；奸诈人的道路崎岖难行。
El buen entendimiento da gracia;Mas el camino de los transgresores es duro.
Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors {is} hard.

凡通达人都凭知识行事；愚昧人张扬自己的愚昧。
Todo hombre prudente procede con sabiduría;Mas el necio manifestará necedad.
Every prudent {man} dealeth with knowledge: but a fool layeth open {his} folly. {layeth...: Heb. spreadeth}

奸恶的使者必陷在祸患里；忠信的使臣乃医人的良药。
El mal mensajero acarrea desgracia;Mas el mensajero fiel acarrea salud.
A wicked messenger falleth into mischief: but a faithful ambassador {is} health. {a faithful...: Heb. an ambassador of faithfulness}

弃绝管教的，必致贫受辱；领受责备的，必得尊荣。
Pobreza y vergüenza tendrá el que menosprecia el consejo;Mas el que guarda la corrección recibirá honra.
Poverty and shame {shall be to} him that refuseth instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured.

所欲的成就，心觉甘甜；远离恶事，为愚昧人所憎恶。
El deseo cumplido regocija el alma;Pero apartarse del mal es abominación a los necios.
The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul: but {it is} abomination to fools to depart from evil.

与智慧人同行的，必得智慧；和愚昧人作伴的，必受亏损。
El que anda con sabios, sabio será;Mas el que se junta con necios será quebrantado.
He that walketh with wise {men} shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. {destroyed: Heb. broken}

祸患追赶罪人；义人必得善报。
El mal perseguirá a los pecadores,Mas los justos serán premiados con el bien.
Evil pursueth sinners: but to the righteous good shall be repayed.
22
善人给子孙遗留产业；罪人为义人积存资财。
El bueno dejará herederos a los hijos de sus hijos;Pero la riqueza del pecador está guardada para el justo.
A good {man} leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner {is} laid up for the just.

穷人耕种多得粮食，但因不义，有消灭的。
En el barbecho de los pobres hay mucho pan;Mas se pierde por falta de juicio.
Much food {is in} the tillage of the poor: but there is {that is} destroyed for want of judgment.

不忍用杖打儿子的，是恨恶他；疼爱儿子的，随时管教。
El que detiene el castigo, a su hijo aborrece;Mas el que lo ama, desde temprano lo corrige.
He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.
25
义人吃得饱足；恶人肚腹缺粮。
El justo come hasta saciar su alma;Mas el vientre de los impíos tendrá necesidad.
The righteous eateth to the satisfying of his soul: but the belly of the wicked shall want.
