酒能使人亵慢，浓酒使人喧嚷；凡因酒错误的，就无智慧。
El vino es escarnecedor, la sidra alborotadora,Y cualquiera que por ellos yerra no es sabio.
Wine {is} a mocker, strong drink {is} raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.

王的威吓如同狮子吼叫；惹动他怒的，是自害己命。
Como rugido de cachorro de león es el terror del rey;El que lo enfurece peca contra sí mismo.
The fear of a king {is} as the roaring of a lion: {whoso} provoketh him to anger sinneth {against} his own soul.

远离纷争是人的尊荣；愚妄人都爱争闹。
Honra es del hombre dejar la contienda;Mas todo insensato se envolverá en ella.
{It is} an honour for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling.

懒惰人因冬寒不肯耕种，到收割的时候，他必讨饭而无所得。
El perezoso no ara a causa del invierno;Pedirá, pues, en la siega, y no hallará.
The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; {therefore} shall he beg in harvest, and {have} nothing. {cold: or, winter}

人心怀藏谋略，好像深水，惟明哲人才能汲引出来。
Como aguas profundas es el consejo en el corazón del hombre;Mas el hombre entendido lo alcanzará.
Counsel in the heart of man {is like} deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out.

人多述说自己的仁慈，但忠信人谁能遇著呢？
Muchos hombres proclaman cada uno su propia bondad,Pero hombre de verdad, ¿quién lo hallará?
Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find? {goodness: or, bounty}

行为纯正的义人，他的子孙是有福的！
Camina en su integridad el justo;Sus hijos son dichosos después de él.
The just {man} walketh in his integrity: his children {are} blessed after him.

王坐在审判的位上，以眼目驱散诸恶。
El rey que se sienta en el trono de juicio,Con su mirar disipa todo mal.
A king that sitteth in the throne of judgment scattereth away all evil with his eyes.

谁能说，我洁净了我的心，我脱净了我的罪？
¿Quién podrá decir: Yo he limpiado mi corazón,Limpio estoy de mi pecado?
Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?

两样的法码，两样的升斗，都为耶和华所憎恶。
Pesa falsa y medida falsa,Ambas cosas son abominación a Jehová.
Divers weights, {and} divers measures, both of them {are} alike abomination to the LORD. {Divers weights: Heb. A stone and a stone} {divers measures: Heb. an ephah and an ephah}

孩童的动作是清洁，是正直，都显明他的本性。
Aun el muchacho es conocido por sus hechos,Si su conducta fuere limpia y recta.
Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work {be} pure, and whether {it be} right.

能听的耳，能看的眼，都是耶和华所造的。
El oído que oye, y el ojo que ve,Ambas cosas igualmente ha hecho Jehová.
The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them.

不要贪睡，免致贫穷；眼要睁开，你就吃饱。
No ames el sueño, para que no te empobrezcas;Abre tus ojos, y te saciarás de pan.
Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, {and} thou shalt be satisfied with bread.

买物的说：不好，不好；及至买去，他便自夸。
El que compra dice: Malo es, malo es;Mas cuando se aparta, se alaba.
{It is} naught, {it is} naught, saith the buyer: but when he is gone his way, then he boasteth.

有金子和许多珍珠（或译：红宝石），惟有知识的嘴乃为贵重的珍宝。
Hay oro y multitud de piedras preciosas;Mas los labios prudentes son joya preciosa.
There is gold, and a multitude of rubies: but the lips of knowledge {are} a precious jewel.

谁为生人作保，就拿谁的衣服；谁为外人作保，谁就要承当。
Quítale su ropa al que salió por fiador del extraño,Y toma prenda del que sale fiador por los extraños.
Take his garment that is surety {for} a stranger: and take a pledge of him for a strange woman.
17
以虚谎而得的食物，人觉甘甜；但后来，他的口必充满尘沙。
Sabroso es al hombre el pan de mentira;Pero después su boca será llena de cascajo.
Bread of deceit {is} sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel. {deceit: Heb. lying, or, falsehood}

计谋都凭筹算立定；打仗要凭智谋。
Los pensamientos con el consejo se ordenan;Y con dirección sabia se hace la guerra.
{Every} purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war.

往来传舌的，泄漏密事；大张嘴的，不可与他结交。
El que anda en chismes descubre el secreto;No te entremetas, pues, con el suelto de lengua.
He that goeth about {as} a talebearer revealeth secrets: therefore meddle not with him that flattereth with his lips. {flattereth: or, enticeth}

咒骂父母的，他的灯必灭，变为漆黑的黑暗。
Al que maldice a su padre o a su madre,Se le apagará su lámpara en oscuridad tenebrosa.
Whoso curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness. {lamp: or, candle}

起初速得的产业，终久却不为福。
Los bienes que se adquieren de prisa al principio,No serán al final bendecidos.
An inheritance {may be} gotten hastily at the beginning; but the end thereof shall not be blessed.

你不要说，我要以恶报恶；要等候耶和华，他必拯救你。
No digas: Yo me vengaré;Espera a Jehová, y él te salvará.
Say not thou, I will recompense evil; {but} wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee.

两样的法码为耶和华所憎恶；诡诈的天平也为不善。
Abominación son a Jehová las pesas falsas,Y la balanza falsa no es buena.
Divers weights {are} an abomination unto the LORD; and a false balance {is} not good. {a false...: Heb. balance of deceit}

人的脚步为耶和华所定；人岂能明白自己的路呢？
De Jehová son los pasos del hombre;¿Cómo, pues, entenderá el hombre su camino?
Man's goings {are} of the LORD; how can a man then understand his own way?

人冒失说，这是圣物，许愿之后才查问，就是自陷网罗。
Lazo es al hombre hacer apresuradamente voto de consagración,Y después de hacerlo, reflexionar.
{It is} a snare to the man {who} devoureth {that which is} holy, and after vows to make enquiry.

智慧的王簸散恶人，用碌碡滚轧他们。
El rey sabio avienta a los impíos,Y sobre ellos hace rodar la rueda.
A wise king scattereth the wicked, and bringeth the wheel over them.
27
人的灵是耶和华的灯，鉴察人的心腹。
Lámpara de Jehová es el espíritu del hombre,La cual escudriña lo más profundo del corazón.
The spirit of man {is} the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly. {candle: or, lamp}

王因仁慈和诚实得以保全他的国位，也因仁慈立稳。
Misericordia y verdad guardan al rey,Y con clemencia se sustenta su trono.
Mercy and truth preserve the king: and his throne is upholden by mercy.

强壮乃少年人的荣耀；白发为老年人的尊荣。
La gloria de los jóvenes es su fuerza,Y la hermosura de los ancianos es su vejez.
The glory of young men {is} their strength: and the beauty of old men {is} the gray head.
30
鞭伤除净人的罪恶；责打能入人的心腹。
Los azotes que hieren son medicina para el malo,Y el castigo purifica el corazón.
The blueness of a wound cleanseth away evil: so {do} stripes the inward parts of the belly. {cleanseth...: Heb. is a purging medicine against}
