Como no conviene la nieve en el verano, ni la lluvia en la siega,Así no conviene al necio la honra.
As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, so honour is not seemly for a fool.

麻雀往来，燕子翻飞；这样，无故的咒诅也必不临到。
Como el gorrión en su vagar, y como la golondrina en su vuelo,Así la maldición nunca vendrá sin causa.
As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.

鞭子是为打马，辔头是为勒驴；刑杖是为打愚昧人的背。
El látigo para el caballo, el cabestro para el asno,Y la vara para la espalda del necio.
A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass, and a rod for the fool's back.

不要照愚昧人的愚妄话回答他，恐怕你与他一样。
Nunca respondas al necio de acuerdo con su necedad,Para que no seas tú también como él.
Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.

要照愚昧人的愚妄话回答他，免得他自以为有智慧。
Responde al necio como merece su necedad,Para que no se estime sabio en su propia opinión.
Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit. {conceit: Heb. eyes}

藉愚昧人手寄信的，是砍断自己的脚，自受（原文是：喝）损害。
Como el que se corta los pies y bebe su daño,Así es el que envía recado por mano de un necio.
He that sendeth a message by the hand of a fool cutteth off the feet, {and} drinketh damage. {damage: or, violence}

瘸子的脚空存无用；箴言在愚昧人的口中也是如此。
Las piernas del cojo penden inútiles;Así es el proverbio en la boca del necio.
The legs of the lame are not equal: so {is} a parable in the mouth of fools. {are...: Heb. are lifted up}

将尊荣给愚昧人的，好像人把石子包在机弦里。
Como quien liga la piedra en la honda,Así hace el que da honra al necio.
As he that bindeth a stone in a sling, so {is} he that giveth honour to a fool. {bindeth...: or, putteth a precious stone in an heap of stones}

箴言在愚昧人的口中，好像荆棘刺入醉汉的手。
Espinas hincadas en mano del embriagado,Tal es el proverbio en la boca de los necios.
{As} a thorn goeth up into the hand of a drunkard, so {is} a parable in the mouth of fools.

雇愚昧人的，与雇过路人的，就像射伤众人的弓箭手。
Como arquero que a todos hiere,Es el que toma a sueldo insensatos y vagabundos.
The great {God} that formed all {things} both rewardeth the fool, and rewardeth transgressors. {The great...: or, A great man grieveth all, and he hireth the fool, he hireth also transgressors}

愚昧人行愚妄事，行了又行，就如狗转过来吃他所吐的。
Como perro que vuelve a su vómito,Así es el necio que repite su necedad.
As a dog returneth to his vomit, {so} a fool returneth to his folly. {returneth to his folly: Heb. iterateth his folly}

你见自以为有智慧的人么？愚昧人比他更有指望。
¿Has visto hombre sabio en su propia opinión?Más esperanza hay del necio que de él.
Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? {there is} more hope of a fool than of him.

懒惰人说：道上有猛狮，街上有壮狮。
Dice el perezoso: El león está en el camino;El león está en las calles.
The slothful {man} saith, {There is} a lion in the way; a lion {is} in the streets.

门在枢纽转动，懒惰人在床上也是如此。
Como la puerta gira sobre sus quicios,Así el perezoso se vuelve en su cama.
{As} the door turneth upon his hinges, so {doth} the slothful upon his bed.

懒惰人放手在盘子里，就是向口撤回也以为劳乏。
Mete el perezoso su mano en el plato;Se cansa de llevarla a su boca.
The slothful hideth his hand in {his} bosom; it grieveth him to bring it again to his mouth. {it grieveth...: or, he is weary}

懒惰人看自己比七个善于应对的人更有智慧。
En su propia opinión el perezoso es más sabioQue siete que sepan aconsejar.
The sluggard {is} wiser in his own conceit than seven men that can render a reason.

过路被事激动，管理不干己的争竞，好像人揪住狗耳。
El que pasando se deja llevar de la ira en pleito ajenoEs como el que toma al perro por las orejas.
He that passeth by, {and} meddleth with strife {belonging} not to him, {is like} one that taketh a dog by the ears. {meddleth: or, is enraged}

人欺凌邻舍，却说：我岂不是戏耍么？他就像疯狂的人抛掷火把、利箭，与杀人的兵器（原文是死亡）。
Como el que enloquece, y echa llamasY saetas y muerte,

火缺了柴就必熄灭；无人传舌，争竞便止息。

Where no wood is, {there} the fire goeth out: so where {there is} no talebearer, the strife ceaseth. {Where no...: Heb. Without wood} {talebearer: or, whisperer} {ceaseth: Heb. is silent}

好争竞的人煽惑争端，就如余火加炭，火上加柴一样。
El carbón para brasas, y la leña para el fuego;Y el hombre rencilloso para encender contienda.

传舌人的言语，如同美食，深入人的心腹。
Las palabras del chismoso son como bocados suaves,Y penetran hasta las entrañas.

怨恨人的，用嘴粉饰，心里却藏著诡诈；

他用甜言蜜语，你不可信他，因为他心中有七样可憎恶的。

他虽用诡诈遮掩自己的怨恨，他的邪恶必在会中显露。
Aunque su odio se cubra con disimulo,Su maldad será descubierta en la congregación.

挖陷坑的，自己必掉在其中；滚石头的，石头必反滚在他身上。

Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.

虚谎的舌恨他所压伤的人；谄媚的口败坏人的事。
La lengua falsa atormenta al que ha lastimado,Y la boca lisonjera hace resbalar.
A lying tongue hateth {those that are} afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth worketh ruin.
